I don’t know how to fully describe my husband…
He is the pickiest person I know when it comes to food. J will not touch anything that he does not like the looks of. Once he has his mind set on something, he will stick to that decision.
J is also the funniest person I have met. He can make you laugh even when you are at your angriest. He has this way of making things seem alright even though they really aren’t. A friend asked me once, “What made you decide to marry J?“ I wasn’t really thinking (and to be honest I didn’t want to answer the question) but what came out of my mouth was “He makes me laugh.“
J is as country as country can be. He “was born country” as the song goes. It’s funny, though, as he is also into rap music – and the lifestyle, if I let him get away with it.
J used to be the epitome of the stereotypical American. He didn’t know much about the world outside of the United States. Imagine, in the first few weeks of us talking, he asked me “Do you have plumbing in the Philippines?“ I stopped talking to him for a little while after that but I guess I got over it. He has changed, though. Living in another country has taught him many things – I hope.
If I were asked to describe him in a nutshell now, I think I would still be at a loss. It’s hard to put a guy like J in a box.
