I don’t even know if that title is apt but J said some thing that just cracked me up the other night. We were going to sleep and were having one of those inane conversations that we often have. I forget what it is exactly that we were talking about but I do remember saying something like “Is that for real or are you trying to placate me?
This is what my wonderful (American, native English speaker) husband said to me: “Why don’t you use words that I can understand?“
Now is it just him or is that a really strange word?
